Handwashing is recommended, however, if you do use a washing machine, be sure to turn your garment inside out to help protect the print. Take care in selecting a liquid soap and avoid any products containing phosphates, bleach, sodium, borax, Oxyclean, or any other type of harsh chemicals. If any of these chemicals is often used in your washing machine, opt for handwashing as to not expose your print to potential residue. Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap is a great choice!
Avoid drying in direct sunlight.
It's natural for the color to age over time, especially if the print is subjected to overwashing or frequent prolonged sun exposure. To help restore the intensity of the original color, soak the print in a dilute bath of hydrogen peroxide and cold water for 10-15 minutes.
